NAPASTYLE OPENS FLAGSHIP YOUNTVILLE STORE TO PACKED CROWDS
Michael Chiarello welcomes locals and visitors alike into his new gem
Yountville-Napa Valley, CA – July 16, 2008 – This month at two sold-out events, Celebrity Chef Michael Chiarello opened the doors to the first of his new Yountville ventures, his flagship NapaStyle Store, Paninoteca and Wine Bar, Located at V Marketplace, in Yountville, CA. The Grand Opening hosted fans from all over California, who enjoyed a cooking demonstration from Chef Chiarello, and free wines as they waited in line to get their books signed. A second event was held for local vintners and hospitality professionals, hosting several hundred insiders, including Margrit Mondavi, Ted Hall, Larry Turley and David Stevens, all who sipped “house” wines from Turley, Rombauer, Trefethen, Schramsberg and other notable local wineries along with Chiarello’s signature antipasti. During the evening, the visitors often repeated the most anticipated question of the night: when would Chiarello’s new adjacent restaurant, called Bottega, be opening? With characteristic Chiarello humor his response was, “Before the last grape is picked this harvest…” He then added: “It may be an ice wine, though.”
NapaStyle Yountville boasts an array of experiences not yet found in the other NapaStyle stores, including
- A Paninoteca and outdoor cafe, where fresh pressed hot and cold Panini, seasonal salads and antipasti plates can be enjoyed outside on the patio or taken to go.
- A specialty wine shop and tasting bar, offering wine by the tasting, quartino (glass & a half), or bottle, and featuring highly rated wines from Chiarello Family Vineyards and others, plus an impressive selection of glasses, decanters, openers and wine accessories.
- A Salumeria and curing room, offering Chiarello’s blend of organic, heirloom pork salami, prosciutto and other cured meats.
- Chiarello’s Ottimo line of just-made specialty spreads, dips, conservas, including Prosciutto Paté, Cambozola Roasted Garlic Spread, and Apricot Black Anise Marmellata, made fresh daily featuring just-picked produce.
- An olive oil blending and bottling bar, which houses six of the world’s best extra virgin olive oils in large fustinos for guests to try and take home.
- The full line of NapaStyle homewares, cookware, and serveware.

A Napa Valley Landmark
The 4,200 sq. ft. store offers a 2000-ft landscaped patio where visitors can enjoy a bottle of wine, fresh pressed Panini, picnic provisions, or antipasti plates.
A demonstration kitchen is available for cooking classes, tastings, and other private events and dinners for up to 80 people, Box lunches and picnic baskets full to the brim with provisions are also available for enjoying any of the beautiful spots around the Napa Valley. The Café serves beer as well as wine.
